Warehouse Operations Manager
Job Description:
Soul Focus Sports is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and responsible individual to join our team as the Warehouse Operations Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and implementing specific procedures for the greater warehouse operations team.
This is a full-time role based in our Soquel, CA warehouse (5 days a week with occasional weekend event work).
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storing and organizing.
Manage a staff of 1 full-time employee, and several part-time employees.
Develop and implement efficient procedures to optimize processes and minimize errors.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular counts and audits for all proprietary and client assets.
Coordinate with internal and external client account managers to ensure accurate and timely inventory, shipments and transit logs.
Track all shipments with an online inventory management system.
Oversee, manage and provide support/guidance to warehouse personnel in an effort to improve efficiencies of overall warehouse processes.
Attend numerous meetings per week with the warehouse operations executive team.
Attend all relevant internal/external meetings and calls.
Event-Related Work:
Coordinate the preparation of outbound shipments and the receiving and check-in of inbound shipments for 50
events yearly.
Work with Soul Focus client account managers to create and fulfill pack lists for events, shipments, and auxiliary needs.
Work agreed upon weekend events (may require overnight/travel).
Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
Responsible for the warehouse to the highest standard of organization and cleanliness.
Ensure warehouse equipment is well-maintained and in safe working condition.
Ensure warehouse supplies are well-stocked and ordered timely to meet workload.
Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and servicing of equipment and infrastructure.
Collaborate with relevant departments to address facility maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred; additional certifications or training in warehouse operations is a plus.
Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or related fields.
Knowledge of inventory software, procedures, and best practices.
Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
) and Google Suite of apps (Docs, Sheets, etc.
) Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts Licensed to use and past experience with equipment such as forklift and pallet jack preferred.
